Game 7: The Sox continued with their decision to no longer throw the World Series and won Game Seven 4-1. If the White Sox won game eight it would bring the series to a tie.
Game 8: Lefty Williams was scheduled to pitch game eight. Before Game Eight, Lefty was threatened by a thug known as Harry F. If Lefty did not lose Game Eight, Harry would come after him and his family. Lefty pitched poorly and threw the game for the Sox causing the Reds to win 10-5 and to win the series.
